The Malaria Elimination and Community Health Developments Association, in collaboration with the Federal Minister of Health (FMOH), has been providing training for totals 747 participants (590 from the South West region and 157 from central Ethiopia region) of project districts, in November 2025.
Participants include school principals, health facility heads, district and zonal malaria focal persons, education office experts, and health extension workers. The training, held in Tercha, Mizan and Butajira town, focuses on strategies for malaria elimination, control, prevention, and effective behavior change communication.
This capacity-building effort is designed to drive community-level behavioral change, thereby accelerating progress toward the national goal of malaria elimination.
